Why Outdoor Summer Camps?
We all know that being outdoors is a great way to connect with nature as well as to get some fresh air. The summer camp setting is also a great place for kids to learn in a fun and nurturing environment. We all understand the importance of music, arts and performing, so by moving our camps outdoors we are still able to engage in these subjects. We are also able to maintain physical distancing during camp activities while avoiding stuffy and cramped indoor areas.
How does the program work?
Our professional instructors will be with the kids for 2 hours each session. Each camp session will be kept small (6 kids max) for quality 1:1 time with the instructors and to ensure safety for social distancing. Once kids arrive at the outdoor location, each child will get to pick their spot to creative work. There will be a short break during the 2 hours for either water/snack or playground play.
What will the kids learn?
- Music notes & rhythm
- How to play the ukulele
- Singing
- Art (crafting instruments, drawing, painting)
- Social & self-expression
- Building confidence in creating and sharing their ideas
- Performance skills
